The first high-security prison in Bosnia and Herzegovina was officially opened this summer. We have completed its final design in partnership with Frick Krüger Nusser Plan 2 architects.
The prison is fully compliant with European Prison Rules. It is located in the suburban area of East Sarajevo, under the slope of mountain Igman, rather isolated from surrounding settlements.
Prison facilities are organized along the main circulation axis, which is like the main street connecting all buildings in a kind of “inside city”.
