CONTEXT: State Prison is located in the suburban area of East Sarajevo, on the former military training field Naklo under the slope of mountain Igman, rather isolated from surrounding settlements.
CONCEPT: Prison facilities are organized along the main circulation axis, which is like the main street connecting all buildings in a kind of “inside city”.Is final design has been completed in partnership with Frick Krüger Nusser Plan 2 architects. The prison is fully compliant with European Prison Rules. It is located in the suburban area of East Sarajevo, under the slope of mountain Igman, rather isolated from surrounding settlements.
