The prison is fully compliant with European Prison Rules . Itis located in suburban area of East Sarajevo, under the slope of mountine Igman, rather isolated from surrounding settlements.
Prison facilities are organized along main circulation axis, which is like a main street connecting all buildings in a kind of “inside city”.
